The match began with 3 goals awarded to contender due to their lower total handicap in the high goal category just like their first leg encounter before the final onslaught. The score board read 3 – 0 in favour of RUBICON at the commence of the match but that did not last long as Nigeria’s best Polo Player Bello Buba+5 on the EL-AMIN team changed the score by an early goal in the 1st Chukker. The South African Hired Assassin, Sbu Doma followed-up with another classical goal bringing the scores to 3 -2 goals still in favour the opponent.

A second goal by Bello Buba gave El-AMIN an early equaliser in the 1st Chukker. The after that Chukker was 3 – 3 goals to both sides. The Champions continued the assault on the contenders in the 2nd Chukker when Bello open the Chukker with 2 more goals to shoot up the score to EL-AMIN 5 goals, RUBICON 3 goals.
Ibrahim Mohammed
RUBICON would not just defeat lying low as their made frantic efforts at the goal area of the Champions. Their fight back yielded fruit as they scored 2 consecutive goals ( one by Hadi Sirika, Patron of the RUBICON team ). Both teams stood neck to neck with 5 goals each at the end of the 2nd Chukker. The two teams being a par bought a lot of excitement to the spectators who were screaming.

The 3rd Chukker witnessed a lot of apprehension and agitation on the part of the EL-AMIN team and their fans as the RUBICON drew more blood from the Champion in the fierce horse- back battle. The contenders scored 2 consecutive goals again, one scored through a penalty by their Hired Assassin, Gonzalo Badu. The score board read 7 goals to RUBICON, 5 goals to EL-AMIN.

In other situations, one would have expected desperation to set in on the part of the Georgian Cup Champions as their opponents matched them man to man, pony to pony in the make or mar battle. But EL-AMIN was undaunted but surged on with the usual skill and confidence that they are known for.
The Kaduna team owned by Mohammed Babangida+4 fondly called MOHA by friends and fans, emerged in the 4th Chukker with a-show- stopper form of play that made it very difficult for their opponent carry out further offence on them. Even a miss by Ibrahim Mohammed+4 sporting the no.3 Jersey in a penalty against RUBICON did not matter much as EL-AMIN were poised to crush the former.
Sbu Doma
A move by the contenders towards the goal post of the Champions was rebuffed by MOHA. In the chase, the EL-AMIN Patron dropped his mallet but would not stop or allow the offender to score as he marked the latter of side. It was a case one man one pony without a mallet against one man one pony with a mallet.
In no time, Sbu Doma and Bello Buba scored a goal each to re-equalised and finally neutralise the RUBICON team. An 8th goal by Ibrahim Mohammed, a.k.a. DAN GUY at end of that Chukker marked the beginning of the end on the side of RUBICON. The 4th Chukker saw both teams at 8 -7 goals. EL-AMIN was in the lead for a second time in the encounter .
The Champions scored 2 more goals through a penalty by Bello Buba and another in a goal mouth struggle by Ibrahim Mohammed in the 5th Chukker. The chance came when Gonzalo Badu played but missed a 60 yard penalty that was blocked by MOHA and the ball passed to Bello who made a fierce move towards the RUBICON goal area but missed. DAN GUY struck the ball very hard to the goal but it went wide.
At the start of the 6th and final Chukker, the score was 11 – 7 via another penalty scored by Bello Buba. Fans were screaming for more and really more goals were scored by the champions who kept bombarding the goal area of the contenders. Two goals from Ibrahim Mohammed and Sbu Doma brought the RUBICON team to its knee and they fell like a pack of cards but not without a good fight.
The fire power of EL-AMIN gave them the GEORGIAN CUP at 13 goals to7 for the 6th consecutive win.
EL-AMIN also won the new EMIR OF KATSINA CUP by beating the FIRST BANK team. They also won the EL-AMIN CUP in the Kaduna Polo tournament.
