The Nigerian Ministry of the NIGER DELTA held an Environmental Roundtable tagged ‘ Stakeholders Roundtable On Niger Delta Environmental Protection & Regeneration ‘ at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on the 29th of November 2011. The conference was attended by dignitaries from different parts of the world including the United Kingdom and United States of America.
The dignitaries in attendance include the former Governor of NEW MEXICO in the USA, Bill Richardson, the former United States Envoy to Nigeria, Ambassador Howard Jeter, the Head of Projects & Technology at the Commonwealth Business Council, Peter J Sharper, the Chairperson of the FRIENDS OF THE ENVIRONMENT, Engineer ( Mrs.) J. O. Maduka, The Chairman of FIRST HYDROCARBON NIGERIA, FHN, which is one the sponsors of the roundtable.
Other sponsors of the event co-ordinated by the CWC in the United Kingdom include SHELL, CENTURY GROUP, CG, FIRST CITY MONUMENTALBANK, FCMB, STANBIC/IBTC BANK, DRILLING NIGERIA LIMITED, NRG, SAPETRO and AFC.
There was also a special Dinner party for the guests at the event where ANNET & her band based at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel entertained the guests who danced late into the night. An ATILOGU Dance group also performed at the occasion while the Master of Ceremony for the event was BASORGE, a popular Port-Harcourt based Comedian cum Television/ Music producer.
