UCHE NWAGWU WINS KIA JEEP

It  was a day of joy and testimony  when in the evening of Friday the 7^th of October 2011,  UCHE NWAGWU smiled  home with a brand new KIA JEEP that he won in a Raffle Draw organised at the TRANSCORP HILTON HOTELS, ABUJA.  UCHE’S victory in the Raffle Draw put paid to the long and anxious wait by the numerous customers of the hotel who wished and hopped to be the lucky winner.

The Raffle Draw organised by the TRANSCORP HILTON HOTELS and DANA MOTORS at the CAPITAL BAR was on for some months and was closely monitored by the customers who had qualified for the final draw. To qualify for the draw, one must have spent the sum of five thousand Naira ( N5000:00 ) at the CAPITAL BAR at a sitting to earn a ticket which the recipient  in turn dropped in a glass box similar to the deposit boxes used by banks.

 The box was  conspicuously placed on the bar for all to see and as well monitor on daily basis. No mago.. mago.

On that faithful evening, the gentleman who is resident in Abuja had closed from work and headed for his residence.

According to UCHE ‘when I got home from work, I received a call from an unknown number, I seldom pick calls from an unknown number,  but  I picked it reluctantly. The caller introduced himself as Tony and said that he was calling from DANA MOTORS. He inquired if I had participated in a Raffle Draw at the CAPITAL BAR in the TRANSCORP HILTON HOTELS. He said ‘ the first thing I asked him was ‘ where is my car? ‘ The caller  informed me that I had won a KIA JEEP and that I should come to the CAPITAL BAR to pick it up.  I am here to pick up the keys and the official handing over of the car to me has been performed by the officials of the TRANSCORP HILTON HOTELS and DANA MOTORS . The PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER of the hotels, Mr. Shola Adeyemo will drive the jeep out of the lobby for me.’

Speaking with his well wishers after the presentation ceremony, he had this to say ‘ to tell you the truth, deep down in my mind I knew that I was going to win the car ‘. Could any testimony be more than that?

Interestingly UCHE NWAGWU was not the only one with the notion that he was going to win the KIA JEEP. As a result of his amiable life style, a lot of persons including some staff of the hotel had wished him to win the vehicle. So most people were not too surprised about the outcome of the Raffle Draw. 

There was also  mistery in  the Raffle that baffled every one present. When the draws commenced, a lady was picked from among the crowd to pick a ticket out of the glass box and she did. The officials called the phone number on the ticket twice which was the rule of the draw. The subscriber kept cutting the call. The standard procedure was to pick another ticket from the box.

In the process, UCHE’s ticket was picked. His number was dialled and he picked up. That changed the course of history and the raffle draw was re-directed as fate would have it. The crowd was rejoicing before the arrival of the winner to the amazement of the lady that picked his ticket because she had not seen or met the gentleman before.

The conclusion of everyone was that if it was not UCHE’s day of testimony, he would not have picked an unknown number and would have missed a known KIA JEEP. Congratulations to the PEACE MAKER. We done wash ...o.
