A CHAT WITH USMAN SAHAD

After the incident that took place between the Secretary to the Nigeria Polo Federation, Ahmed Baba Kyari and the Secretary to the Yola Polo Club,Usman Sahad on the 19th of November 2011 at the Kaduna Polo Club/NPF Players meeting in the Club House, Unique International Magazine could not get to speak to both warring parties due to the charged atmosphere.

On Wednesday (at 15.28hrs ), 23rd of November 2011 ( four days after the Kaduna Polo Tournament ) The Publisher/ Editor-In -Chief, Tony N. Iweka had a telephone chat with Usman Sahad, the Secretary to the Yola Polo Club on the disagreement with the Secretary to the Nigeria Polo Federation, Baba Kyari .

This is what he had to say ‘ Baba Kyari’s behaviour was very bad. He did not even accept that he did something wrong by asking that an NPF cheque should be written in his favour. Instead of facing reality, he resorted to making senseless remarks and dragging his father’s name into the matter. What is my business with his father in that case? He is always like that. We shall meet again in Kaduna next year and we will know what he is going to do when his tenure is over. With regards to the Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira Zenith Bank Cheque I issued to Baba Kyari, I am meeting with my bankers tomorrow ( 24th of November 2011 ) to stop the payment. The money will be paid in favour of the Nigeria Polo Federation’

At the time of posting this report, the magazine was making frantic efforts to reach Baba Kyari to comment on the incident.
